If life is a Bowl of Cherries....

How come I only get one...and it's got a big pit. Hmmmm, what's up with that?
Life is a bed of roses? Pffft....thorns and all!
Piece of Cake?? Nah, Mary Ellen is hawking that Pope stuff all over the blogs..... no cake for me!
Earn my bread and butter?... just more cholesterol
Cry over spilled milk?....lactose problems.
Pie in the sky? No thanks...gotta enough issues with seagull shit in the hair, thank-you-very-much.
Red herring? No, I'm a Democrat.
I think I can live on a diet of coffee and beer. No hidden meanings to think about.

Cheesehead

Today is a good day for me and a sad day. It's sad because my youngest is 18 years old today and that means that my role as mom will never be the same. The rest of my kids are grown and gone, he's the last one and will be leaving for college in August. I'll be an empty nester...it sucks. :-(

The good thing...BIRTHDAY CAKE! :-)

Maybe the chocolate will take away the sting. :-l

Happy Birthday to Tony, the kid who always makes me feel like the best mom in the world.

Just think ME, with that empty nest, you'll finally be able to run around the house naked!

Hey, it's the good kind of cholesterol. Another heaping plate of toast, dammit.

Randal- I already run around the house naked. Maybe that's why my son is in therapy. Hmmm.....

Hey, Happy Birthday to the Kid, ME!

Gees, if you're gonna run around the house nude, at least post photos..... ya know, Holy Porn.

I think I agree with Randal, too....chocolate is GOOD cholesterol. especially Oscar's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout

okjimm- Ok, I checked out that link. At first the chocolate beer thing sounded gross and then I looked at the description:

A very full-bodied yet smooth-drinking stout with a complex nutty finish.

Not sure what to think, but I'm kind of a smooth-talking stout (not too full bodied, though--got gypped in the boob department), with a complex nutty personality, so maybe it's no so bad. :-)

My brother found some recipe for a beer milk shake, Guinness and ice cream and something else, can't remember. All I know is, it looked so gross and I just couldn't bring myself to take a taste. He said it wasn't very good...duh! Ya think?

I like you're basic Ale or Lager. Usually I'll drink Sam Adams. I don't like fruit in my beer, either. Ick!

...a real lambic style brewed with cherries...not just added flavor. It drinks almost like a wine...I like to mix it 50/50 with a Guiness to make a black cherry....oooooh!! Unfortunately, only available in Wisconsin right now.
Liza I will post cheese for you next time....cheddar or swiss?

I'm with liberality. You beer people are weird. But we're elitists. Pass the Merlot and the Holy Porn.
