The thing of it is.... my son is very serious about his impending career...... what ever that may be. He has been offered a couple of gigs doing sound design for 'indy' short films.... which means...'no money'.

He was going to go to Iowa .... a notion prompted by a small blurb he had read.....The first week of August has been designated as World Breastfeeding Week. The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) encourages Iowans to use this week to increase awareness of the importance of breastfeeding.

But I convinced him that it probably was not a 'flimable' opportunity for a sound design engineer.

Then.... out of the blue ( or green or red or purple) he has an offer to go to

and do sound design on a play for a couple of months. I guess the playwright has done some Broadway stuff and had won some awards or shit in France.

So unless there is a fly in the ointment... the kid is moving to Philly for a bit, and

I somehow I get the feeling that when all is said and done.....

.... none of my invited guests will show up and

... I'm just gonna sit around and shoot the breeze with Bill-a Lang...... I think he owes me a couple of beers.
