See.... I had this all set... I made the chili and I was gonna have it Cincinnati style, where you dump it over bunch of spaghetti and top it with grated cheddar cheese and onions. but I can't find the grater... and I know she was here somewhere (hey, and just saying, but all of the really cool kitchen utensils are of the feminine gender. don't ask how I know this, but it's true)
So I says to myself, "this is just great"....it being that kind of morning.
I mean I wish the sun would just shine a bit, that would be great. Or maybe the phone would ring with some good news for a change. That would be great.
Then I am thinking of all the things that would be great. But I keep it simple. Like I wish I had another jare of peanutter butter cause I just ran out and I really don't want to go to the store for another jar, not just yet, anyways, cause really the best time to buy peanutter butter is when you need jelly, too, see, both of those seem to go good together. They are Great!! Together. And then I start thinking to myself of all sorts of great things and things that are great together ( but only parenthetically)...... and I just run out of thoughts.......... and wish I had a few more.... cause that would be great.
In the early morning rain
With a dollar in my hand
With an achin' in my heart
And my pockets full of sand
I'm a long way from home
And I miss my loved ones so
In the early morning rain
With no place to go
always expect the unexpected. That way when evil shit happens it won't be such a big surprise. Moab Diechleer
