Peach on Earth & whrez me dezk?

OK Dokee! I have been told that I will not have a desk in my new dept. tomorrow. Or for two weeks. I will be spending the next two weeks in computer labs, checking out CRM programs for the client&other associated bullshit. I think it has been about four or five years since I totally cleaned out my desk and deleted some files and programs and e-mails.
From Mrs Naomi Solomon
No[104 Rue Des Martyrs Cocody
Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire

I am the above named person from Kuwait . I am married to Mr Anthony Solomon who worked with Kuwait embassy in Ivory Coast for nine years before he died in the year 2004. We were married for eleven years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days.
Before his death we were both born again Christian. Since his death I decided not to remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is against. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $2. 5 Million (Two Million Five Hundred U.S. Dollars) in the bank here in Abidjan in suspense account.

Damn! I should have responded to that one ASAP! Wonder if it is too late?

POST-ELECTION WEALTH ALERT... for people that love freedom from government controls and the free market
During the next four years, the "O" inPresident Obama will stand for two things...
ONE: If you're unprepared, it will meanGreater OPPRESSIONof your freedoms and wealth than in any time in history!

Ooooops! I never did get around to reading #2!

In spking to Bill he said he has abt 7 invoices that dhl is mis-billing and he is gttng frustrated bcuz he can not affors to loose money and what the easyship system says that is what he is chrging his customer but when he gets a bill it a way high we are gng to try and get this resolved he said last year he spent anywhere from$80 to 90,000 a year last year and he is using fed-x 90% right now bcuz we can not get our billing straight I will work with Bill and get this straighten out so he can give dhl the majority of his intl shppng....

I think I rekummd dat dey let hm go, dat rep, bcuz he roat like sht. Ok.

So I sent in my request for what I would like for a new desk. But they said that Jabba already has it.
So I am still browsing for a new one as I clean out trash from my old one. Here's a nice piece of trash from my favorite Winkie-Dink Preacher, Pat Robertson and his take on Obama:
“I think what he says is dangerous,” Robertson blustered. “I think that it has a veneer of sophistication and it has a veneer of moderation, a veneer of intelligence, but underneath it he basically is selling out, well, the origins of our nation.
“America wasn’t built on Hinduism,” Robertson continued. “America wasn’t built on Islam. America wasn’t built on Buddhism. America and our democratic institutions were built on the Christian faith. There is no question about it…. And I think to put Christianity on a par with Hinduism, Buddhism, etc., I believe this man is doing a grave disservice to our nation.”
Course it isn't quite as bad as my favorite BAD Robertson quote:
"Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It's no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media and the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history."

That one really broke me up! I think the liberal Americans and Gay Media are setting up death camps in Key West or Fire Island. I gotzta check with my Liberaly Gay Media American friends to find out the truth.

Well, anyways&stuff..... I'm sure that my next will look more like this:

Which really doesn't look so bad. It has a window view, after all.

But the larger part of all this is I probably won't be posting for a bit. And my sniveling, whiny, beer sot comments on other-peoples-pages may become a bit sparse......... but as the email Christmas card from a co-worker said, "Peach on Earth and Good Wilt to Men"*

*Elaena always thought Spell Check was a snack for the holidays!

I'll be around.

And Pat Robertson is STILL wrong (if you can believe that). The 'founding fathers' were deists:

Deism is the belief that a supreme natural God exists and created the physical universe, and that religious truths can be arrived at by the application of reason and observation of the natural world. Deists generally reject the notion of supernatural revelation as a basis of truth or religious dogma. These views contrast with the dependence on divine revelation found in many Christian,Islamic and Judaic teachings. [from Wiki].

Ah, nuts. You'll be missed until you're back. You remind me of a time when I worked at AARP in Chicago. We were adding on to our offices and I and another woman were temporarily displaced, but still expected to come into the office and work. I was found a corner by a window and took up squatting there. My colleague, disgusted by the lack of concern over our displacement, took a cardboard box, punched some holes in it and hung if from some binding twine around her neck for a portable desk.

We didn't get much done, but we got some laughs out of it.

okjimm... go if you must! Leave us all here to wallow in misery over your departure. Don't worry about us. We'll be fine. Go have your pints at Oblio's. See if we care... *sniff, sniff*

And good luck with your new job. Give a ding when you get your desk!
