One of these days

Well I've been out walking

I don't do that much talking these days

These days--

These days I seem to think a lot

About the things that I forgot to do

For you

And all the times I had the chance to

And I had a lover

It's so hard to risk another

these days

Now if I seem to be afraid

To live the life I have made in song

Well it's just that I've been losing so long

I'll keep on moving

Things are bound to be improving these days

These days--

These days I sit on corner stones

And count the time in quarter tones to ten, my friend

Don't confront me with my failures

I had not forgotten them

Jackson Browne

Sherry.... glad you liked it... I have been digging through my old Tom Rush albums....the rendition he did of the Jackson Browne song is extremely tasty.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dude, where did you find that shot at the top of your blog? It's excellent and fits the sentiment here perfectly.

uh, Randal, I got lucky taking a shot of sunset at the river pavilion by my house. It is where they have concerts thursdays through the summer. A nice spot to take some, ah, vitamins and watch the sunset and rock out cheaply. Thanks.

Great song by one of our old favorites too. I remember well 'Late For the Sky' and the extraordinary line:

'I don't know what you loved in me -
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be.'

Nice picture too.

Christ! I though you wrote that till I got to the bottom. I thought Okjimm's been holding out on us, making Randal do all the heavy lifting poetry wise. Now I don't know what to say...

Nice choice of song.

Very nice. This proves without doubt that if you were a doughnut, you'd be a powered jelly: stick sweet on the outside and all gooey (and still sweet) on the inside. heh.

Glad you guys liked the song...Jackson is great writer.

Spartz....A Doughnut a Day and Jelly for Everyman..... itza my new campaign slogan. I've decided to run for office..... I just have to figure out which one.
