I often feel the same way
“I amat the moment writing a lengthy indictment against our
century. When my brain begins to reel from my literary labors, I make an
occasional cheese dip.” ~ Ignatius J. Reilly
Truthfully, I am finding it increasingly harder to get upset anymore. The most recent exception, of course, was that damn Goldfish cracker but in a world where the limits of stupidity and excess are raised daily I have figure it's just best to lay low and go unnoticed.
* 1 cup monterey jack cheese or 1 cup asadero cheese or 1 cup chihuahua cheese, shredded fine * 4 ounces green chilies * 1/4 cup half-and-half * 2 tablespoons onions, chopped fine * 2 teaspoons ground cumin * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 1 serrano pepper, chopped fine (o * 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped fine
Directions: Put all ingredients in a double boiler and heat on medium.
Cook until melted and well blended, stirring occasionally.
Serve with fresh tostadas or hot flour tortillas and a lot of nice light beer.
but I think I need a break from the news. Reminds me more and more of episodes of 'Laugh-In' than real news. Oh oh, Huntley-Brinkley, where are you now that we need you!
