- 12 slices Bacon, cut in half
- 24 dried apricot halves
- 1/2 cup plum jam
- Heat oven to 350 degrees farenheit.
- Wrap 1/2 slice of Bacon around an apricot half, secure with a toothpick.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 20–25 minutes or until the Bacon is brown & crisp.
- Turn once during baking.
- While the Bacon is cooking mix the jam & soy sauce in a saucepan and cook over low heat until the jam has melted and mixed with the soy sauce.
- Remove from oven and place on paper towels to remove excess grease.
- Serve dipping sauce with the bacon-apricot appetizer

I thought this just about awful enough to be good. Oddly the Contrarian nixed it, but I might try it anyway. You did forget to say how much soy sauce. :O

sherry...it is delicious! I think it was a half-cup of soy. My Nephew hosted a 'engagement party'...he and Sarah made it a bacon snack buffet... bacon wrapped jalapenos, bacon wrapped figs, shredded bacon stuffed mushrooms.... it was great! oh, and then we had http://www.mcphee.com/shop/products/Last-Supper-After-Dinner-Mints.html
Bacon still smells good to me after all these years without it.
I am saying awesome about this. It has some of my favorite elements. Bacon, jam and apricots.
It does sound delicious but I'll opt for the fruitcake.
