You captured it -- the grief and horror so many of us are feeling. How does someone even begin to process this tragedy?

I attended my weekly meditation group last night, where my friends and I shared our sorrow over the massacre. We had a sound meditation with gongs, chimes, singing bowls, drums, and other instruments. All of the sounds expressed our grief in a way that words could not. Sometimes, horror is just too much for words to express.

Nice one - nothing more to say.

The slaughter of 20 kindergarten age children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, is one of the darkest days in our history.

While everyone is talking stricter gun control laws, nothing changed after Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head and a five year old in the crowd died.

I hate to sound cynical but if past is prologue (and it usually is), then in three, four or even six months from now, no one will ever mention the school carnage in Connecticut.

Love the PP&M cut... sums it up well.

What can you say that hasn't been said a million times in the past few days?

What a wonderful match of music and visuals.

All decent people are so sorry. I just hope we can hold that thought through to doing something meaningful and effective to prevent more tragedies/outrages that we must be sorry about.

....what really sucks is the NRA...and there completely stupid solutions. And the really dumb folks who equate better gun control/legislation with banning all guns. Solutions start somewhere...we need to start NOW.

yes tears and a thousand million sorries...

I visited my Rightie cousins FB the other day and he and a friend were giddy as two fuckin teenagers in love talking about the new guns they can now get because of the relaxed laws implemented by their governor! What cold hearted monsters!!

Thank you.

I've been back over here a dozen times hoping you've posted since this one...

The silence is making this post all the more sad.
