well.... I thought it was funny...

honesty in childrens lit

.... I cannot tell you how many children s books I have read ... out loud... at book fests... at story times... and especially at bed time.

My kids learned early on in life that it was best to crash when daddy said crash...
But that doesn't mean they listened, so we had a lot of late night conversations about the stars, and the moon, and planets, and catterpillers and butterflies and how bees make honey and cows make milk but cats can't have puppies and pigs can't have kittens... and invariably I would have all of it I could handle and resort to a "Go the fuck to sleep" comment that ended the day.
I posted this at my place a couple months ago and laughed out loud listening to it here tonight.

Thanks!

Someone's not thinking of the children.

I saw it yesterday for the first time...... loved it... Jackson is making the book a best seller....

Randal... I am thinking of the kids...they deserve to be entertained.

..... course... a little Ayn Rand would usually work... but you have to be careful not to bore them to death

Parker is good at this. He knows all the kids books. Me? Almost none. Even at an early age, I was bored by them. What that says about me, I have no clue. I found Alice in Wonderland at 10 to be silly. Go figure.

I LOVE that you love "Go the Fuck to Sleep", and I doubly LOVE that Milo is your icon. Bloom County was the best comic, EVER!!!!!!!
Opus is my Twitter pic.
