The times they are a changin'

... and it's not like I am real thrilled.

I never thought I would grow up (and it is questionable that I have) and work in a business environment. So I am stuck retraining for a new program selling tel-com devices to industry. It really really bores the shit out of me.

But being broke is worse. and even more boring.

So I am off in a land of S-drives, P-drives and where the fuck did I put the ESCVP folder and BASE system log-in info?

I think I should have stuck with beer and doughnuts.

Sunday I am trying to talk Max and a couple of his buds into driving across the lake. It is froze solid. How many times can one drive eleven miles across a lake?

Boy, do I know how to have fun, or what???

'jimmy.. I can help you out with the S-drive and P-drives. I was once a damn good sys admin and desktop support tech. I can help you find the ESCVP folder or BASE log-in info. I hate to sound like your dear mama, but "it's where you last left it."

As for beer and doughnuts... brother all I need to know is place and time. :^)

Gosh, I remember the last time I lost my ESCVP folder, what a day! Ok...I have no idea what you're talking about, but since I lose my keys at least once a day, the chances are good if I had an ESCVP folder, I'd lose it.

Stay off the frozen lakes, goofball. I always hear these stories about guys who try to cross a frozen lake and happen to find the spot that wasn't frozen and SPLASH! They're never seen from again. Then again, maybe that's where you will find your ESCVP folder and your BASE log-in info.

Later, kiddo. ;-)

Good thing spartacus is here, 'cause all I know about computers is that's where they keep the porn.

Seriously, watch that lake. If you turn into an ice cube, how will you sell tel-com? At least we can use you to keep our keg cold. ;-)

sounds very proper and boring indeed. and then the ice driving sounds dangerous and exciting--maybe a little too exciting there.

Spartz- "it's where you last left it." That's what IT tells me when I call. :)

ME..I hate acronyms...what's the point of giving something a name and then using an acronym?

RG... I NEVER look at porn on the net. Iffen I want to look at obscene material I can just peruse my divorce settlement.

Libs... it's been real cold, the ice is about 14 to twenty inches thick, so it is usually very safe. And the view from about five miles out is wild, other worldly. Seems almost lunar. I want photos. (plus there is a neat bar on the other side with a wall full of stuffed fish, sells pickled hard-boiled eggs and is packed with folks wearing snomobile suits. All in all, a cultural experience!)
